Kelly Bolinger
Lighthouse For Hope Board Member
Kelly Bolinger is a compassionate mother of two with a background in nursing and nursing leadership. Kelly’s journey to becoming a member of Lighthouse For Hope’s board of directors comes with some hair raising twists. Just over a decade ago while in college at Arizona State University Kelly changed her major to nursing due to a little boy who had lost his battle against Neuroblastoma, one of the many monsters of childhood cancer. Kelly spent four years working Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Phoenix Children's Hospital before moving to Orange County, California where she spent the last 6 years working in the high acuity NICU at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
Kelly has always had a passion for raising awareness for childhood cancer however her flame turned into a fireball when her own three year old daughter, Rowyn, was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma right before Christmas this past December of 2024. Three days after being told the most devastating news of their lives Kelly and her husband Royce packed up their two young daughters and moved across the country to New York City for Rowyn to receive life saving frontline treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering. After two grueling months of treatment and one massive and risky surgery Kelly’s daughter Rowyn was deemed in remission. Kelly is currently back home in Huntington Beach, California with her family as they continue to help their little Rowyn heal and thrive.
Kelly is honored to serve on the board of Lighthouse For Hope, using her own personal experience with childhood cancer and her deep rooted passion for advocacy to help serve other families going through the unimaginable. Kelly knows first hand how important it is to have a village whilst walking the path of childhood cancer and cannot wait to help other families on their own journeys. Join Kelly in making a difference for families battling childhood cancer and blood disorders by supporting her fundraising efforts for Lighthouse For Hope!
