To tell you about Lighthouse, I first have to tell you a little bit about myself. Lighthouse For Hope was born from my own cancer journey after I was diagnosed with Leukemia just days before my 18th birthday. Treatment was a 2.5-year battle filled with uncertainty, and when it ended, I struggled to find normalcy. Starting Lighthouse came from a deep need for purpose and a desire to support others facing the same fight.

During treatment, I was fortunate to have a strong support system—something many families I met lacked. Cancer is physically, emotionally, and financially devastating, and Lighthouse exists to fill those gaps. We provide emotional peer support and help offset everyday costs that insurance doesn’t cover. More than that, we build relationships and create a community that carries families through their journey.

Our mantra is simple—be a light. Cancer is dark, but we choose to be a beacon of hope. Through Lighthouse, we can pass on the support and love that carried me through my hardest days.
