Melissa DeLaney brings more than 20 years of experience in communications and public affairs, having served as a spokesperson and media strategist for high-profile international issues, public officials, organizations, and brands in Washington, D.C., and Arizona. Her extensive background includes working with members of Congress, White House Cabinet members, and statewide officials and candidates, as well as collaborating with local, national, and international media outlets. Throughout her career, Melissa has developed expertise in speechwriting, media training, coalition building, and strategic communications to advance legislative and public policy initiatives.

Melissa’s connection to Lighthouse For Hope is deeply personal. After her daughter, Anna, underwent a bone marrow transplant at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Melissa experienced firsthand the challenges families face when navigating pediatric cancer treatment. She understands the critical role of organizations like Lighthouse For Hope in providing both emotional and financial support to families in need.

As a board member, Melissa is eager to leverage her skills and personal experience to amplify Lighthouse For Hope’s mission and ensure more families receive the support they need during their most difficult times.
